Easter
Weekend: Parade through the street at Huskisson.
What a perfect day for the parade, thanks for the 24 people
that turned up in their red & black outfits. We spaced everyone
in 5 rows, from the shortest to the tallest and we must have
looked pretty good, as we took out first place, winning $100
& a certificate. After the parade we had a demo, even though
we had limited room to dance, we were able to avoid the gardens,
with a lot of people stopping to watch.
After our demo we all ended up at the park for a picnic lunch.
Very nice to just sit and watch the activities in the park &
on the water. Perfect day.
Thanks for all who turned up on the day, without you there for
support, we would not have had such a successful day.
Sydney April Ball
For some of the ladies this was their first social and not knowing
what to expect, they were pleasantly surprised at the amount
of people that can fit into a basket ball stadium. All the decorations
around the stadium was terrific.
This was my second time at this event and thoroughly enjoyed
it as much as the first time. Lets hope we can get tickets again
for next year.
Thanks to Brian for driving all the lovely ladies to Sydney
& back. What a trooper to put up with this lot(did you have
ear muffs Brian).
Thanks Laurelle for sending us the photos.

Laurels
BBQ
Another great bbq, although it was windy towards the afternoon,
it eventually calmed down & with a lovely fire to sit around,
was enjoyed by everyone. Plenty of music to kick up the heels,
although the grass suffered looking slightly browned off &
flattened the next morning.
Thanks to Lorraine getting in and taking over the barbie, Rob
didn’t know what to do, he has never had anyone kick him
out before. Lorraine as usual was there to clean up the garbage
as well. Thanks Lorraine come again next time.
Sussex
Inlet Demo at RSL Club
This demo was for the view club of Sussex Inlet, Jenny Landsberry
invited us to join her for this demo & we started off with
Cunnamulla Strut, probably the easiest of the dances, but most
of us made mistakes(what can you do but laugh & had the
audience laughing as well) then we got into gear & entertained
the audience, Peter & Brian stirring up everyone as usual.
Thanks for inviting us Jenn, we enjoyed it.

Crookwell demonstration went well with Carol,
Elsa, Lola, Cheryl, Carmel, Fay, Peta, Brian, Jenny & Laurel
and the ladies from Sussex Inlet as well attending this festival
on Saturday 7th March, it turned out to be another superb day
(weather wise). We had 2 sessions throughout the day with about
7 dances. These same dances were done again in the next session.
It was great to catch up with Terry Drage & Jenny Sinai,
we haven’t seen them for a while due to Jenny’s
illness. Hope to see you again in the near future. We also caught
up with Bob & Penny Day enjoying a holiday in Crookwell
and joining in with the demo. It’s good to see you both
again, enjoy your holiday.
We stayed for the parade at 3pm which went for ½ hour,
and Peta was lucky enough to have a ride on a harley Davidson
through the parade, Jenny & Geoff and some of the Sussex
Inlet ladies went for a helicopter ride which they enjoyed.
We had a great time and will be back again next year (if they
invite us). We recommend you come to this beautiful town on
your travels, it has a good country atmosphere. Thanks to Brenda
& friends for making us feel welcome and for your hospitality.
